May I introduce to you Scarlet. Malta's first Tribal Belly Dance Troupe. Tribal Belly Dance is a collection of belly dance styles, we are like magpies as we take the best, shiney parts from the dance world and mold it into our own style. Whether it be an "authentic style" folkloric routine or maybe a piece inspired with influences from India or even street dance. We also like to incorporate props into to our dance to enhance each of these styles. These could be anything from beautiful scented candles, floating veils or dynamic fans, right up to large scimitars swords, that flash and cut the air as we entice the audiences. Because of our love for this dance style, each of our routines is created to be fun and always just a little different.

Scarlet are a collection of women from a variety of different backgrounds, that was brought together by tribal belly dance. Although Tribal Belly Dance may be new to the Maltese Islands, it has taken off so quickly. All the members of the troupe have had some form off dance background, but have found the challenges of this new art form exciting, they love the way it has created a sense of being as each member has made great bonds of friendship from dancing together.
